Well I finally got the game. I cant play the game on full or high graphics, but still I'm enjoying it. This is an AMAZING game. Single players don't matter, they just finish off and you cant do anything further. Multi-players are the one to be enjoyed which battlefield 3 offers the best. Team work is essential, not just a one man army to "WIN" a round. You can use Helicopters, tanks, jets and have the capability to counter them. You need experience and hard work to practice. A total of 64 people can play which is a lot and resembles a realistic battlefield. I'm loving battlefield 3, you can spot enemies, the inclusion of squads which are helping each other working together. Many guns, many modifications for them. The realism in sniper rifles and all other rifles, not just too easy you need to keep in mind travel time and bullet drop

Battlefield 3 fixes everything that was wrong with Battlefield 2, making for a much more enjoyable online experience.

One only has to look at my review for Battlefield 2 to see how i felt about it. The good news one of my core complaints about Battlefield 2 (which was the aircraft) have been fixed. Now they don't donimate the entire game. And snipers while still a pain. All maps now have alot more cover and trees and hills. So it gives you a better fighing chance against them.

If anyone has played the battlefield series before then you know what to expect gameplay wise from this installment of the series. Large 64 player battles return along with alot of new changes. I can't find fault with the core gameplay on its own. It's pretty much sured that Dice has taken alot of feedback over the years in developing the battlefield series. So it makes BF3 probably the best in the series. Aircraft are fun, but defently not overpowered this time around. Infact they feel kinda weak. They can easily be shot down. But watching air battles take place above you is epic.

Once again the medic has been merged with the main assault class. And general changes like that have made it into the game. Visual wise the game looks and runs as good as bad company 2. While its a new engine. The game has the Bad company 2 look. And for the most part it runs good. If you could run bad company 2 on your computer then performance wise BF3 will run the same. They are new graphic features like actual working Anti aliasing, but only enable graphic features like that if you've got a good comp. I do think however the backdrops in bad company 2 looked alot better. And again sound wise im happy. Guns sound fun to shoot, and thats what matters.

There is a co-op and singleplayer campaign. But i'll admit i havent touched them yet lol. Because the online multiplayer is so adicting to play right now.

Overall a solid improvement over battlefield 2. And while i did enjoy the overall shooting and level design more in Bad company 2. Battlefield 3 in away returns to its roots. Giving players a good reason to return to the series for another battlefield :)

Bit hard for a non FPS fan. But instantly addictive nonetheless.

Summary

Battlefield games have been my all time favorites next to Warfare series in the First person genre and Battlefield 3 is The Best I'm played so far. The environment was so neatly created that I took a few headshots staring at it stupidly. The plot is nice and believable. But for me, give me a gun and a couple of enemies and I'll shoot them whatever the reasons. Yeah, I'm a mercenary. The sound of the guns seem pretty real and loud and the difference in the guns used is evident in multiplayer mode. All in all, this game was worth playing and worth spending money on. I'm completely satisfied.

My rating:

Environment - 9.0 Really great work done here.

Guns - 8.5 Good. But I wanted to see more in the arsenal,

Story/Plot/Mission - 8.5 Believable. Could have moved a little away from the Irn-Iraq theme. Some other peace loving country plunged into chaos would be a bit interesting. Strictly game-wise... :)

Sound - 9.5 Wow! I mean it.

Overall - 9.0 This is a must play if you like Battlefield and Modern Warfare games.

Like the game, great engine, quickmatch needs lots of work, bad spawning and balancing issues. Potential for great game.

Summary

Good:

Engine: The engine and graphics in this game are some of the best I have ever seen. The ability to run over objects, to para-shoot out of planes and the environment being totally destructible is cool. The only issue I have with the environment being destructible is everything seems to be able to destroy the environment including small arms fire which is overkill.

The Bad:

Quick-match: I play with my friends a lot, in fact I rarely play by myself. This poses a problem in quick-match because it does not like to keep the people in your own squad on the same team. Every time I have played it has put the people in my own squad on the other team. This is extremely frustrating and desperately needs to be fixed.

Spawning: This game has a very nasty habit of spawning the enemy behind you when you are playing in death match(Very annoying). You also should not be able to spawn beside your teammate when the enemy is shooting at them or is near them this would eliminate a lot of very frustrating spawn deaths.

Balancing: Unfortunately the game does not match you up with people of the same rank. This means that a person that is just starting the game has to play against people that have unlocked more powerful weapons and perks. This makes it very difficult to get ahead in the game because all you do is get killed by people with more powerful abilities(Very Frustrating)

Summary:

If these issues were to be fixed this game has the potential to outshine both call of duty and Halo. This coming from an avid Halo fan. It is fun to play when you are not getting spawn-killed every two seconds. It provides a very cool battle simulation experience. However as much as I enjoy playing the game the issues that the game has are frustrating to the point that I am not sure how much longer I will keep playing it.

Solid game, but nothing miraculous. Multiplayer only review.

Summary

As a Battlefield 2 and BCBC2 Veteran, I didn't come into BF3 with any hype. I purchased it to strictly play Battlefield. BF3 in a way delivers that substance of play BF2 had on large-scale maps, especially if you own the Karkand DLCs. I do however, really like the fact that DICE made TEAM DM modes on smaller versions of the maps, so basically feels like I can switch from playing Battlefield, to mindless CoD style play. Good plus.

The Pros:
-Graphics are great.
-Multiplayer is solid, I have yet to touch SP. Like I mentioned, if you want to play Arena-style at a touch of a button, go play Team DM servers.
-Conquest and Rush modes are still fun
-Improved gun customization and ranking system

Cons:
-Prone, they should have never implemented this. It's a Recon(Snipers) candyland, which I hate cause Snipers have no balls.
-Origin/Battlelog; very annoying, I dislike using my web-browser as a launching tool for a game, should have kept it real DICE.
-Hackers; they plague almost 1-5 games Im in, let the reporting begin.

Overall BF3 is a good series for fans of FPS games on a multiplayer scale. Worth buying.
