Summary

mario bros was really cool in the arcade or where ever kids used to play. i love the other mario games but finally i get the chance to play the original. all those levels are great and perfect. the story is pretty obvious. just like all the other mario games princess peach is kidnapped, but this time princess peach is kidnapped by bowser jr. and you have to go through 8 worlds jumping on midgets. :) the map is very repetitive. you fight a midget in a small castle, you win and the midget runs away to a bigger castle. after you beat the midget again in the other castle you go to the next world. you still go through levels before the boss fights and sometimes theres a bonus level after you beat a midget. the multiplayer is so beautiful! but it sometimes gets on your nerves. for people who watch walkthroughs you just need to collect big coins and spend them on walkthroughs and cheats. overall New Super Mario Bros. is a great non violent game!

A very good game that brings you back to the classics.

Thank you for reading my review! I appreciate it very much.

For all the Mario fans, if you have not purchased this game yet, it is still available in wal mart and is a very recommended game... On to the review..

Storyline: In the first cutscene of the game, it's Princess Peach's Birthday (Her age is unknown). While Mario and the gang (Luigi, Toads etc.) are celebrating, Princess Peach gets kidnapped by Bowser and his Koopalings. Meanwhile, Mario, Luigi, and Toad go to the rescue. Throughout each world you get to, each world has a boss. The bosses are the Koopalings. It's going to a scale from youngest to oldest. It can also be defined as easiest to hardest. I'm not sure if this is a spoiler or not, but after World 1, World 2 is a desert, World 3 has snow, World 4 is an undersea world, World 5 is a jungle, World 6 is underground, World 7 is in the sky, and World 8 is a lava world. The World 8 boss is Bowser. Off and on Bowser Jr. will be a boss.

Gameplay: The gameplay sends you right back to the Super Mario Bros. gameplay. It's very addicting and every stage is unique. All I can say here.

Graphics: If you have an HD Tv screen, then the graphics look great. HD or no HD, the graphics are still pretty good. I like every detail of each stage, it looks like it's right in front of you (Not literally).

Difficulty: The difficulty is just right. Every stage has its ups and downs with the difficulty. If you like challenge, you will more than likely enjoy World 5, World 7, and World 8. Do not get worried about the enemies, just worry about the obstacles and bosses.

Overall: This game is possibly the best gift you could possibly give to someone. The game is still in stock and is about $21.00 or less. Very recommended.

Summary

To a newcomer of the Mario franchise this game sets a great first impression from the beautifully designed levels all the way to the great platforming New Super Mario Bros left a good impression on me. When the game first begins Princess Peach has been kidnapped once again *sigh*. Without second thought Mario and friends dash out of the castle with determination of saving her. After the nice cutscene the true action and fun begins and only escalates throughout the game and with a hop step and jump your off to the first level. Familiar faces return as you'll see Toad, Yoshi, Luigi, Boo, and Bowser along with his nephews and nieces. While New Super Mario Bros. Wii is a very childish game the difficulty is exceptionally difficult especially in the final world where things can get tricky, but never frustrating. Although it is a very short game even when going for 100% you best clear your day and prepare to sit tight on the couch or bed and unravel in a game that keeps you on your feet every course and boss. New Super Mario Bros. Wii is a game you will want to keep for a lifetime.
10/10!

Surpisingly, this game manages to recapture the amazingly addictive and engaging gameplay of the old NES Classic.

Summary

Too begin this review, let me say that as soon as I heard about this game i just KNEW I was going to love it. What makes this game so good is that Nintendo has finally returned to its old, classic Super Mario Bros. formular. This is the first 2D Mario Platformer (I forgot the DS version, woops) since Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins in 1992. ( A Gameboy game) These games are known to be highly addictive with supreme replayablitiy and lasting-appeal. To this day I still play the old Super Mario Bros, finding it has hard and fun as I did years ago.

So turning on this game for the first time, I was filled with nerves and excitement, not quite knowing what to expect. If my calculations are correct, it has been 19 years since the previous game and I was praying Nintendo got it right. And they did, as old fans will undoubtly notice within their first few seconds of the first level. The game stays completely true to its old formular yet adds a whole new exciting feeling to it. The game remains simple, yet its highly endadging and highly addictive. A beginer would tackle each level slowly and carefully but an expert would focus on darting through the level has fast and as skillful as possible, and that is where the replayablity comes in. No matter how many times you play this game, you'll find there's still room for improvement. Know this, in many parts of the game the difficulty depends on how you play it. If you play it like a beginier, then you'll find it fairly easy, if you play it like a pro you'll find it hard. Thats where much of the fun comes in, mastering the level.

There's not much else to say about this game. I could talk about the graphics, but for a game like this, I don't think it really matters. Or even about the multiplayer! Unfortunately I haven't had a chance to try it. My point is this game recreates the undescrible classic super mario brothers, and its just as fun and addictive! Now my only hope is Nintendo makes more of these types of games...
